Joseph J Gottesman, MD
Chief Executive Officer, Director of Radiology & Informatics


Dr. Joseph Gottesman is a Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist, and is a certified B Reader through the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. He also serves as a radiologist for the Navy Asbestos Medical Surveillance Program Roentgenographic Interpretation for Pneumoconiosis (NAMSRI). Prior to founding Brightview Radiology (previously branded Radiology Film Reading Services) in 1991, Dr. Gottesman held radiology leadership and teaching positions at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

He completed fellowships in Cross-Sectional Imaging at Beth Israel Medical Center, and Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Gottesman earned his Medical Degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and BA from Yeshiva College.

Gabi Barat, MBA
Chief Financial Officer

baratMr. Barat is responsible for all financial, legal, human resources and compliance responsibilities at Brightview Radiology. He overseas the daily operations of the teleradiology practice, and ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Mr. Barat also is responsible for recruiting a team of skilled radiologists to interpret medical images for Brightview Radiology clients located across the country. Prior to his current role, he was a Director of Sales for Eagle Insulation Manufacturers Corp., and a Financial Advisor for American Express. Additionally, he was a Diplomat Trainer for the U.S. State Department. Mr. Barat earned an MBA and BS from Johns Hopkins University.


Julia A. Johnson, PhD
Office Manager

johnsonMs. Johnson has worked for Brightview Radiology since 2008 and is responsible for ensuring clients receive their reports and consultations in a timely fashion, and addresses any client support related needs. She overseas all aspects of workflow and operations of the company and keeps things running smoothly, while also managing staff scheduling and general office administration. Ms. Johnson is also a trained medical transcriptionist and transcribes reports for Brightview Radiology. Prior to Brightview Radiology Ms. Johnson was a consultant for the Obesity Research Center at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in NY, and a Research Technician at Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University. She earned her PhD from Columbia University and a BS from University of Connecticut.
